Doing our bit for the planet
Westward Living is more than a business, it's a way of life. Help us protect the environment and keep Devon and the rest of the world a special place that future generations can enjoy as much as we do.
How we help the environment in Westward Ho!, North Devon
It is no secret that we love where we live.  Our children are growing up here and we hope that one day, we will have grandchildren living here, too. Green to the core. Our 60 acres of lush, green surroundings are a continual reminder to us that we need to respect our surroundings. When it comes to cleaning and maintenance, we use eco products that minimise the use of plastic and which are kind to the environment.

Our Future

To celebrate all that is great about North Devon we are embarking on an environmental project for Easter 2025 to create a truly eco-friendly Devon holiday experience accommodating up to 12 guests. We are currently working with our architect to incorporate a host of environmental initiatives to offset the carbon footprint and reflect our eco values. Watch this space for details.

Keep It Local

We know how lucky we are to live in this area with so much to do and see, so giving back is central to our ethos. We are an active part of the North Devon business community and do our best to support local businesses, from sole traders to larger organisations. We have teamed up with Local Farm Box who deliver fresh, organic and locally sourced produce straight to your door. Guests will receive a one-time code giving a 10% discount on their first order.

Plastic Free North Devon

We are proud to support Plastic Free North Devon, a local environmental charity started by volunteers who want to reduce the impact of plastic pollution on the environment in North Devon and beyond. Their mission is to protect and improve our environment through community-led action to combat plastic pollution.

Electric Charging Points

We don't have any car charging facilities here at Westward Living. The nearest charging point is two miles away at blights garage Handy Cross, Clovelly Road, Bideford, Devon, EX39 3ET. We respectfully ask that guests do not charge their cars with extension leads from our cottages as this will affect our power supply for the site – thank you. Here is a link to Zap-Map to help you find the nearest charging station

We have exceptionally high Standards of Cleanliness and are Super Safe
