This fabulous four person family self catering holiday cottage is named after one of our most famous race horses and Chester Cup winner "Star Player". Star cottage has wonderful views over the rolling countryside and a south facing enclosed garden which makes it prefect for relaxing with loved ones on those balmy summer Devon nights.
Star cottage sleeps four and is one of our most popular family self catering holiday cottages at Westward Living. Set on our 60-acre of private headland at Duckhaven Stud, this spacious property was designed with families in mind. Accommodation includes one large en-suite double bedroom and one spacious en-suite twin bedroom. Both en suite bathrooms have baths with showers over them. After a day of exploring the surrounding countryside and sandy beaches, there's no better place to wind down than in this cottage's luxurious living space. Sink into the leather sofas or enjoy a family meal in the fully equipped kitchen and dining area. For quiet evenings in, there's a 50-inch widescreen TV and a DVD player.
On a warm summer's day, step outside into the stunning south-facing enclosed patio. Chill out on the sun loungers, fire up the barbecue or relax in the family 4 person hot tub with a chilled glass of wine or locally brewed Devon ale. There's no better place to enjoy North Devon's slower pace of life. If you're eager to head to the beach, Westward Ho! is just a three-minute drive away, or wander over grassy hilltops and take in the views on your way to the beach via the South West Coast Path. The beach is perfect for swimming, body boarding, surfing, rock pooling or simply soaking up the sun. Westward Ho! is full of family-friendly tearooms and restaurants too.
Duckhaven Stud is a former thoroughbred-racing yard, still home to many of our beloved horses. We'd love for you all to meet our friendly horses and farm animals. Our resident rescue hens will treat you to delicious free-range eggs throughout your stay, perfect for eggs and soldiers to start your day.

With a pool table, table football, table tennis, basketball and a heated indoor plunge pool (open May to September) , there's plenty to keep them busy. We're also lucky to have two award-winning attractions nearby. Visit The Big Sheep and The Milky Way, both just a short distance from Westward Ho!
Enjoy a complimentary Devonshire cream tea when you arrive and if you need anything else during your stay, please just let us know. Our friendly team will be happy to help you with any little extras.
